| Leaving Dublin along the stunning coastline we pass Bull Island a bird sanctuary, with delightful views across Dublin Bay into the Wicklow Mountains. On arrival in Howth there is plenty of free time to wonder amongst the fishing trawlers, or just sit and watch the local seals, regular visitors to this maritime village located north of Dublin. Or simply enjoy a pleasant stroll along the pier. |

HILL OF TARA - A Celtic place one of the Largest Complexes of Celtic monuments in all of Europe, as we walk across the landscape our guide will transport you back in time to when the first settlers came here 6000 years ago.
A ROYAL PLACE - in pre-history and in historic times 142 Kings are said to have reigned in the Name of Tara.
A SACRED PLACE - in ancient Irish religion and mythology Tara was revered as a dwelling of the Gods an entrance place to the otherworld, of eternal joy and plenty, were no mortal ever grew old. Its is said that Saint Patricks mission to Ireland first came to TARA in order to confront the ancient religion in its most powerful site.

This is a fantastic traditional pub, enjoy a pint of Guinness & traditional Irish stew.

After lunch
We depart for a fully guided tour of Trim Castle, the largest Anglo - Norman castle in Ireland. Constructed over a thirty-year period by Hugh de Lacy, who was granted the liberty of County Meath by King Henry II.
With its massive twenty-sided tower, which is three stories high, constructed in cruciform shape, surrounded by massive curtain walls. (This castle was used for the filming of Brave Heart)
